A 20th century scratch made printed sign to advertise a ‘house for rent’ in France. Mounted on a piece of wood, the peeling layers of paper can be seen poking through indicating this sign was naively remade and reused throughout the years.
In good condition, the wear on this piece indicates it was probably outside the house it was assigned to. The peeling paper and mottled effect of each layer showing through all adds to the charm of the piece.
