A dark and dream-like reclining nude, a mid 20th century artists’ copy of a Julian Ritter painting. Loose brush strokes where necessary create a state of bliss much like the subject. On the reverse of the canvas frame the name ‘Van Mulder’ can be seen in pen, believed to be the Belgium company who supplied and stretched this high quality canvas ready for painting. The frame is made from wood with a painted gesso over the top.
The frame and the painting are in beautiful condition, ready to be hung and marvelled at for more years to come.
